You can open a checking account online or by visiting a branch

Age requirements:

• Applicants 18 or older can apply online
• Those 17 or younger must open an account in person with a parent or guardian

What you'll need:

• Social Security number
• Valid ID (e.g., driver’s license, state ID, passport or Consular ID)
• Current residential address
• For joint accounts: both applicants’ information and IDs

Joint checking accounts must be opened in person at one of our branches.

You’ll need the same documents required for an individual account, but for both account holders.

After opening your account, enroll in Online Banking to manage your account securely from your desktop or mobile device.

You’ll get a confirmation email once you’re enrolled. You can also download our mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to manage your account on the go.

There are a few easy ways to locate this information

• Log into your account online or using our mobile app
• Check your paper statements
• Look at your checks:
  • The first 9 digits on the bottom left are your routing number
  • The next set of numbers is your account number (typically 5-12 digits)

You can set up direct deposit in just a few steps:

1. Give your routing, account number and account type to your employer or payor (they may have their own direct deposit form, or you can use one provided by Gunnison Bank & Trust upon request).
2. Watch for your deposit: It may take one or two pay cycles for your direct deposit to begin.
